About
The Lambda group is a set of students passionate about functional programming.
We are a diverse and open group, accessible to all with a wide range of ability. We welcome anyone who wishes to learn about functional programming, even those with no prior programming experience.
We aim to learn about functional programming through two ways, regular teaching meetings and guest lectures.
The group will be meeting on a weekly basis throughout the term, working together through the seminal text SICP using Scheme as our programming language.
The group will have close links to Chris Clack and the UCL Computer Science Functional Programming Research team.
We welcome external organisations to visit us and give a guest lecture, this is a fantastic chance to meet students engaged by, and willing to learn about functional programming outside of university.
If you wish to get in touch, please send as an email at lambda@cs.ucl.ac.uk.
